Investment Promotions deputy minister Faizer Mustafa pledged his support today to common candidate Maithreepala Sirisena.

The deputy minister joined the common opposition at a women’s conference held at Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo.

Later Mustafa joined a media conference held at the Opposition Leader’s office in Colombo.

During the meeting, journalists reminded him of his remarks about the Bodu Bala Sena organization and questioned him of his cross over to the common opposition.

Meanwhile 19 UPFA Pradeshiya Sabha members of the North Western Provincial council pledged their support to common candidate Maithreepala Sirisena during another media conference held at the Opposition Leader’s office

The UPFA PS members are from Panduwasnuwara, Bingiriya, Nikaweratiya, Udubaddawa, Kobeigane, Narammala and Alawwa.

At the same time, UPFA Ambilipitiya PS vice chairman Chandrasiri Munasinghe, UPFA Pannala PS member Piyal Devapriya, UPFA Minuwangoda PS member Desmond Gunawardana, and Eravur Urban Council member Ameer Asad pledged their to common candidate Maithreepala Sirisena.

Meanwhile former parliamentary affairs secretary of NFF leader minister Wimal Weerawansa and 3 other party activists also pledged support to common candidate Maithreepala Sirisena today.

At the same time another 6 PS members belonging to several upcountry minority parties, now with common candidate, have pledged their support today to President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Meanwhile over 100 Muslim members representing local government institutions have pledged their support to President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
