Election Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya says that he is 100 per cent sure that it is possible to hold a fair and just election today.
The Election Commissioner said that if anyone tried to create a disruptive situation in any polling station the voting in the relevant station would be nullified without any hesitation.
The Election Commissioner requested the voters to go to the polling centre in the morning itself and cast their vote since the voting begins at seven in the morning.
Meanwhile the election secretariat has set up a special complaint investigation centre for receiving complaints with regard to the election violence carried out in relevance to the presidential election.
The Election Secretariat said that this will be implemented from this morning.
