Police still on high alert for the protection of voters; Situation peaceful; say Election Monitors.

Police+still+on+high+alert+for+the+protection+of+voters%3B+Situation+peaceful%3B+say+Election+Monitors.
The Election Monitors state that voters have shown great enthusiasm to cast their votes since the voting started at 7 this morning.

The Organizations stated that no any serious incident has yet been reported.

Paffrel Executive Director Rohana Hetti Arachchi describes about the observations made by his officials during the first few hours after the voting started today.

Meanwhile Police Media Spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said the special security measures put in place for the protection of voters will be continued.
