President Maithripala Sirisena appointed 27 Cabinet Ministers, ten State ministers and eight Deputy Ministers at a ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo yesterday, where the parliamentarians took oath.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe took oaths as the Minister of Economic

Development & Policy Implementation, Mangala Samaraweera – Minister of Foreign Affairs ,Ravi Karunanayake – Minister of Finance, Joseph Michael Perera – Minister of Home Affairs, John Amaratunga – Minister of Public Order, Disaster Management  & Christian Affairs, Duminda Dissanayake – Minister of Irrigation, Dr. Rajitha Senaratna – Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine, Kabir Hashim – Minister of Highways and Investment Promotion, Sajith Premadasa – Minister of Housing and Samurdhi, Naveen Dissanayake – Minister of Tourism, Wijedasa Rajapaksa – Minister of Justice, Arjuna Ranatunga – Minister of Ports and Shipping.

Patali Champika Ranawaka took oaths as the Minister of Power and Energy, Rishad Bathiudeen – Minister of Industry and Commerce, Gayantha Karunathilake – Minister of Mass Media, Palani Diganbaram – Minister of Plantation  Infrastructure Development, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam – Minister of Education, D.M. Swaminadan – Minister of Resettlement, Reconstruction and Hindu Affairs, Rauff Hakeem – Minister of Urban Development, Water Supply and Drainage,Thalatha Athukorala – Minister of Foreign Employment, Ranjith Madduma Bandara – Minister of Internal Transport, P. Harrison – Minister of Social Services and Social Welfare.

M.K.D.S. Gunawardena took oaths as the Minister of Land, Chandrani Bandara – Minister of Women’s Affairs, Karu Jayasuriya - Minister of Buddha Sasana, Lakshman Kiriella – Minister of Plantation and Gamini Jayawickrama Perera – Minister of Food Security.
 
10 MP’s took oaths as state Ministers.

Accordingly Nandimithra Ekanayake took oaths as the state Minister of Culture and the Arts, V. Radhakrishnan - Ministry of Education, Faizer Mustapha - Ministry of Aviation, Palitha Range Bandara - Ministry of Power and Energy,Dilip Wedaarachchi - Ministry of Fisherie, Rosy Senanayake - Ministry of Children’s Affairs, Rajiva Wijesinghe - Ministry of Higher Education,Ruwan Wijewardene - Ministry of Defence, K. Velayudhan - Ministry of  Plantation Industries and Niroshan Perera - Ministry of  Youth Affairs.

8 Deputy Ministers also took oaths before President Maithripala Sirisena.

Champika Premadasa took oaths as the deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Harsha de Silva - Ministry of Policy Development & Economic Affairs, Eran Wickramaratne- Ministry of Highways and Investment Promotion, Sujeewa Senasinghe - Ministry of Justice, Wasantha Senanayake - Ministry of Tourism,Vijayakala Maheswaran - Ministry of Women’s Affairs,Ajith P. Perera - Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Anoma Gamage - Ministry of Irrigation.
