President meets chief incumbents

President Maithreepala Sirisena visited several Buddhist temples today and received blessings from the Maha Sangha.

According to the President’s Media Unit the President paid a courtesy call at Nugegoda – Pagoda Sri Vidya Vijaya-ramaya, where he met the Chief Prelate of Sri Lanka Amarapura Chapter Most Venerable Davuldena Gnaa-nissara Thera.

Later he met several prominent Buddhist monks including Most Venerable Doctor Ittae-paane Dhamma-lankara Thera, Most Venerable Dodam-pahala Chandrasiri Thera as well as Venerable Bellanvila Wimala-rathana Thera.
