Another suspect arrested regarding Beruwala shooting incident

Police arrested another suspect in connection with the incident where former UNP Beruwala PS councilor Chamila Ranasinghe was shot during the recent Presidential election.

According to Payagala Police, the suspect who allegedly aimed fire is a resident of Kalutara North area.

Regarding the incident, the arrested Kalutara PS councilor Dhanush Priyadarshana, nephew of former Project Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena, has been remanded until the 21st of this month.

Payagala Police added that they are conducting investigations to arrest several other suspects related to the incident.
