NFF leader and former minister Wimal Weerawansa says that the present government is playing into the hands of separatist needs of the TNA.

Addressing a media conference held in Colombo today, Wimal Weerawansa said appointing Ravi Karunanayake who is charged for financial frauds to the Finance Ministry portfolio is questionable.

Meanwhile Presidential candidate and Attorney-at-law Namal Rajapaksa filed a corruption petition against Weerawansa with the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption on last Wednesday.

However former minister Weerawansa rejected the allegations and said that he would resign from politics if the charges are proved.
