Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa says that swift actions should be taken to prevent political revenge against his supporters.

He told this to the media after paying a courtesy call on the Malwathu and the Asgiri Chapter Chief Prelates this morning.

Diyawadana Nilame Nilanga Daala Bandara, MPs Lohan Ratwatta and Dilum Amunugama also joined the former president when he came to pay homage to the Temple of the Tooth Relic.

Expressing his views, former president Rajapaksa said that he would constantly appear for the people who voted for him.
