Another Cabinet minister, a state minister and 4 deputy ministers were sworn in before President Maithreepala Sirisena this afternoon.
Accordingly UNP MP Abdul Haleem was sworn in as Muslim Religious affairs and Posts.
Hassen Ali was sworn in as State Minister for Health.
Meanwhile Ranjan Ramanayake was sworn in as the deputy minister of Social Services, Welfare and Livestock while Wasantha Aluvihare was sworn in as deputy minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment.
In addition, Ameer Ali was sworn in as Housing and Samurdhi deputy minister while Mohammad Toufeek was sworn in as the deputy minister of Internal Transport.
The number of Cabinet minister posts of the new government would increase up to 28 with the appointment of another Cabinet minister today.
The number of State Ministers has increased upto to 11 while the number of deputy minister has increased up to 12 with the new appointments.
