The Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption has decided to suspend the passports of former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabral and MP Sajin de Vass Gunawardana for 3 months.

The Director General of the Bribery Commission Danesh Dharmawardana told a media conference held in Colombo yesterday that the passports of two persons were suspended after the complaints against them were investigated.

The complaints against former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabral and MP Sajin de Vass Gunawardana had been made by JVP affiliated organization named ‘Anti Corruption Voice’.

The convener of the Anti Corruption Voice and Provincial Councilor Wasantha Samarasinghe said that action should be taken against other culprits in addition to Cabral and Sajin Vass Gunawardana.
