The Seychelles government states that it is ready to assist Sri Lanka in its official investigation with regard to the alleged illegal property owned by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa in Seychelles.

A Communiqué issued by the Seychelles Foreign Ministry says Seychelles government has drawn its attention to the reports which state former Sri Lankan President has hidden a large scale of money he exploited during his tenure in Sri Lanka.

However Seychelles rejected the allegations against the country that say it is an oasis for money laundering and a place to hoard robbed wealth from other countries.
