The passport of former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage has been suspended for three months.

The Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption stated that former minister Aluthgamage’s passport will not be released until the complaints against him are investigated.

The Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption has already informed the Immigration and Emigration Department with regard to the suspension of Aluthgamage’s passport.

Earlier, the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption suspended the passports of former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal and MP Sajin de Vass Gunawardana for three months.

The Commission decided to hold their passport after it received complaints against the two after the Presidential election.
