Narendra Modi to arrive in Sri Lanka on March 14th

In an exceptional move to strengthen the relationship between the two neighboring countries, leaders of Sri Lanka and India will visit each other's country back to back in the next two months.

President Maithripala Sirisena visit New Delhi on February 14th and 15th and it will be President's first overseas visit after his victory at the January 08th election.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to be in Sri Lanka on March 14th and 15th and it will be the first official visit of an Indian Prime Minister in 28 years since late Rajiv Gandhi's visit to Sri Lanka in 1987 to sign the Indo-Lanka accord.

During President Sirisena's visit to India, he is expected to visit Buddhist temple in Bodh Gaya and the Hindu temple in Tirupati.
