Stop registration & monitoring Int.Schools - TU Secretary Joseph Stalin

The Lanka Teachers’ Union says that the registration and monitoring of international schools under the Education Ministry should be stopped immediately.

Lanka Teachers’ Union Secretary Joseph Stalin said so in his feedback to the decision Education Minister Akila Viraaj Kaariyavasam had taken for monitoring private schools.

Lanka Teachers’ Union Secretary Joseph Stalin stated as follows in his feedback to the said decision.

Meanwhile the Education Minister said at the Media Briefing held yesterday that in the future a pass in Mathematics would be compulsory for A/L studies.

The Minister said that accordingly the circular former Education Minister Bandula Gunawardhana had issued on this would be abolished.

The former Government had given two chances for students who had failed in Mathematics at the O/L for passing in that subject while engaged in A/L studies for two years.
