Visiting United States President Barak Obama while addressing the Delhi’s Siri Fort auditorium made a unique remark on Sri Lanka.  President Obama pointed out that India can play a major role as a regional hegemon in South Asian region stretching its muscles from Burma to Sri Lanka.

He started saying "Namaste," and the US President Barack Obama also uttered "bahut dhanyawad (many thanks)" as he began a town hall-style meeting at Delhi's Siri Fort auditorium in his last public appearance in India before he completes his three-day official visit this afternoon.
