An air hostess serving for Sri Lankan Airlines Amendra De Kauwe died in a motor accident which occurred in Doha – Qatar yesterday.

A spokesperson of Sri Lankan Airlines stated that another Air Hostess and 2 Flight Attendants received injuries and have been admitted to hospital, and added that only the air hostess is currently receiving treatment.

It was reported that the motor accident occurred when the staff of Sri Lankan Airlines were engaged in a desert saffari in Doha.

Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lankan Airlines Kapila Chandrasena stated that the airline was deeply saddened regarding the incident.

He added that they intend to provide necessary treatment and other facilities after getting in touch with the families of the airline staff victims.

Sri Lankan airlines have initiated an investigation following the tragic death of the air hostess in Doha.

Among the injured, the wife of the pilot who died in the Hokandara flight crash, the flight which belonged to the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF), reportedly.

Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lankan Airlines Kapila Chandrasena stated that the airline was deeply saddened regarding the incident.

He added that they intend to provide necessary treatment and other facilities after getting in touch with the families of the airline staff victims.
