Gallows to be implemented if necessary - Minister of Justice

The Justice and Labour Relations Minister Wijedasa Rajapakse said that he does not hesitate even to reintroduce the Gallows to rout the existing wave of crimes in the country.
The Minister stated this after paying courtesy calls on the Chief Prelate of the Malwathu Chapter Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thera and the Chief Prelate of the Asgiri Chapter Most Venerable Udugama Sri Buddharakkita Thera in Kandy this morning.
The Minister told the Chief Prelates that he is ready to implement tough laws to crush increasing crimes in the country.
