The Government states that President Maithreepala Sirisena is scheduled to visit China in next March.
This was announced by Cabinet Spokesman minister Rajitha Senarathna during the media briefing to inform the Cabinet decisions held at the Information Department this morning.
Meanwhile President’s Media Unit states that President Maithreepala Sirisena, after electing to power last month, is scheduled to engage in his first overseas visit that is to India beginning from March 15 to 18th.
President Maithreepala is scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukerjee and have bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The President Media Unit also stated that the President would participate in religious rites at the Buddha Gaya temple and Tirupathi Kovil.
