How MR allocated huge funds?

The Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake said that he can show proof to the funds allocated by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa for the Presidential Secretariat.

The minister stated this during a media conference held today at his ministry in Colombo.

Issuing a statement, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa rejected the government allegations that he had allocated 100 billion rupees for the president.

He further stated that only 3.75 billion rupees were allocated for the Presidential Secretariat and that amount also included 1 billion rupees which was reserved for some public welfare activities to be implemented under the patronage of the president.

When journalists questioned about this matter, Minister Ravi Karunanayake had this to say.
