Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a telephone call to President Maithripala
Sirisena this morning (13).

Narendra Modi also expressed his keenness on President Maithripala Sirisens’s Indian visit, adding further PM Modi also congratulated the Sri Lankan cricket team participating in the World Cup 2015.

Stating that the Cricket connects people in our region and promotes goodwill, he added. He further added, "5 SAARC Nations are playing and are excited about the World Cup.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on today conveyed his best wishes to the leaders of the SAARC Nations to wish their team’s good luck for the ICC World Cup 2015 that starts from Saturday.

"5 SAARC Nations are playing & are excited about the World Cup. Am sure WC will celebrate sportsman spirit & will be a treat for sports lovers," Modi said in a series of tweets.
