Air China flight makes emergency landing after 'suicidal woman claims she has a bomb'. The passenger, named as Wang Li, is believed to have been suicidal after splitting from her boyfriend and made the claims 90 minutes into a flight to Beijing.
A woman on board an Air China flight said she had a bomb and forced the plane into an emergency landing yesterday, local reports claim.
The 12.24pm (local time) CA1336 flight from Nanning to Beijing made an unscheduled landing at Chongqing.
A passenger said the alert was sparked after a woman claimed there was a bomb in the cabin.
The woman told staff that she wanted to commit suicide after her boyfriend had left her and made the bomb claims 90 minutes into the flight.
The airbus A321-200, which landed safely, was met by police, ambulances and fire engines on the runway and SWAT officers immediately boarded the plane.

No injuries were reported and no suspicious devices were found on the plane.

The woman, named as Wang Li by local media, is said to have claimed the device was on a timer and would explode before they landed in Beijing.

Three people were reportedly taken away for questioning by police before the flight was allowed to continue. (Mirror UK)
