The exterior border wall of Temple Trees that implanted with potted tropical bushes as part of the beautification operations steered by the previous government during the CHOGM 2013 was removed because of high maintenance cost.

Prime Minister's Media Secretary Saman Athaudahetti stated that millions of money is needed monthly for its maintenance and since it is neither favorable to the people nor the country.
