Minster of home affairs and fisheries Joseph Michel Perera states that foreign vessels are not allowed to engage in fishing in Sri lanka waters.

Minister made this statement in response to a question raised by DNA MP Sunil Handuneththi yesterday in Parliament.

Meanwhile the subject Minister also met with the Indian High Commissioner to Sri lanka Y K Singha yesterday.

During the discussions it was decided to hold the Indo - Sri lanka fisheries meeting on the 12th of March.
