Premier Wickramesinghe's comments come even as fishermen from both sides are engaged in talks and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next week.

Quoting an interview Times Of India reported that Prime Minister Ranil Wickramesinghe drawing an example said that if someone tries to break into his house, he can shoot.

The Premier went on to say that fishermen of Jaffna should be allowed to fish and a fair settlement had to be reached.
