Update: Ban on full-face helmets suspended

The Public Security, Christian Religious Affairs and Disaster Management Minister John Amaratunga says that the ban on wearing full face helmet has been temporarily suspended.

Speaking to our news team, the minister said necessary instructions have already been given to police with regard to the full face helmet ban scheduled to be effective from the 21st of this month.

Interior and Christian affairs Minister John Amaratunga stated that the ban on full-face helmets that was to be implemented from 21 March has been provisionally lifted.

Earlier, the police forbade the use of full-face helmets and later temporary postponed the regulation due to numerous issues.
