The United Lanka Container Owners Association launched a strike yesterday against granting permission for outside container vehicles to enter the Colombo Port.

However, the Colombo Chief Magistrate who considered a motion submitted by the Grandpas Police issued an injunction on the strike this afternoon.

The Container drivers and assistants parked their vehicles near Inguru Kade junction last morning before they commenced the protest.
