The draft to detain a suspect for questioning for 48-hours has been submitted to the Parliament yesterday (17) in order to extend it for another two years. The draft has been submitted to the Parliament by the Dr. Vikramabahu Karunaratne.

Speaking to the Parliament, the Minister of Justice Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe pointed out that this draft has to be scrutinized accurately and can be focused later. Former Minister of External Affairs Prof. G. L. Peiris also shared his views in this regard at the Parliament.
