50 Lankans to be repatriated from Yemen

The Foreign Employment Bureau states that they will take measures to bring back 50 Sri Lankans trapped in conflict-riddled Yemen.

General Manager of the Bureau Mangala Randeniya told our news team that they will obtain the support of China regarding the matter.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry stated that in addition to China, India and Indonesia have also extended their support to bring back Sri Lankans trapped in Yemen.

Meanwhile, Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry has reported that Chinese vessels have rescued 225 foreigners yesterday, who were trapped in Yemen.

This is considered as the first time China has ever volunteered to rescue foreigners during an international crisis.
