The post mortem of the murdered woman in Kotaketana revealed that her killer has attacked her head with a heavy weapon.

Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera quoted the post mortem report as saying there severe to her skull.

He also stated that 6 cut injuries were seen in the murdered woman of Kotaketana.

The husband of the victim, complained to the police on Saturday morning that his wife was missing.

Having observed few blood scars in the house and on the compound, launched a search operation in the area.

Police found the body of the victim from a nearby stream last afternoon.

Meanwhile several body parts of the victim have been sent to Borella Gene Research Institute to check whether the victim was subjected to rape either before or after her murder.

Meanwhile police have also launched investigations on the mark of a sock found over the blood stains.

Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera said investigations have been focused whether the victims killer had worn socks.

Government analyst to Kotakethana for further investigations

The post-mortem of the woman, who was mysteriously murdered in Kotakethana area in Kahawatte, is currently underway at the Ratnapura Hospital.

Police media spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that they will be able to find how she was murdered following the post-mortem conducted by the Ratnapura Specialist Judicial Medical Officer.

Meanwhile, the police teams are conducting investigations regarding several blood stains found in the house which appears to have marks of a pair of socks.

Police media spokesman stated that investigations are carried out to find if the murderer entered the house while wearing socks.
