Complaints against the Bribery Commission

The Ravana Balaya handed over a petition to the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption stating that the Director General of the Commission has no moral right to stay in her current position.

The petition stated that a complaint has been made against current Director General of the Bribery Commission Dilrukshi Dias Wickramasinghe on receiving inappropriate salaries remaining in the government service.

The Ravana Balaya stated in its petition that the Commissioner General has no moral rights to stay in this position under these circumstances.

Ravana Balaya convener Iththakande Saddhatissa Thera said that his petition has drawn the attention of the Bribery Commission on several other factors.

A group of UPFA MPs also handed over a complaint against the current Bribery Commission Director General to the Chairman of the Bribery Commission on 1st of April.

The MPs stated in their petition that the current Director General of the Bribery Commission has drawn an allowance from the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission for providing legal advice while serving at the Attorney General’s Office between the period of 2003 to 2008.
