Fake doctor who was arrested from the Dambulla Hospital to receive mental health treatment

A 21-year-old individual, who reportedly impersonated as a doctor, has been arrested by the police at the Dambulla Base hospital this morning.

The court ordered to direct the suspect to a psychiatrist to study his mental health condition.

The police have also found a fake identity card and a stethoscope at the time of the arrest.

Meanwhile the Government medical officer’s association states that there are around 10 thousand bogus doctors’ island wide.
