Gov. obtains advice from AG on SL airlines

Deputy Minister of aviation Lakshman Yapa Abewardana states that it has been decided to obtain the opinion of the Attorney General regarding the Waliamuna report that was issued revealing the alleged corruption and malpractices that occurred at Sri lankan air lines.

The report revealed that former Sri lankan air lines chairman Nishantha Wickramaingha was involved in a number of malpractices and during his tenure Sri lankan air lines incurred heavy losses amounting to millions of rupees.

The report also revealed manipulations of service contracting, recruitment of unqualified staff and major security breaches at the Sri Lankan Airlines under the former government
