Army extends general amnesty period till the 25th

The Sri Lanka Army has stated that the general amnesty period offered to army absentees enabling them to receive their discharge from the army has been extended.

The amnesty period was scheduled to end today, but it has now been extended until April 25th.

Military Spokesperson Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera stated that 13 thousand 600 absentees have reported to their respective regimental centres since the general amnesty was announced proving its success.
