MR Sent Ban Ki-moon to UN - Palace Intrigue

A late Korean businessman had revealed that Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa supported to elect Ban Ki-moon to the UN Secretary General post by persuading Sri Lanka's candidate Jayantha Dhanapala to withdraw,

Deceased Keangnam Enterprises Chairman Sung Woan-jong has said that he contributed considerably to the election of Ban Ki-moon as UN secretary general.

Sung claimed that he had close ties with the then Sri Lankan President, whom he urged to persuade his country's candidate, Jayantha Dhanapala, to withdraw his candidacy and support Ban in the 2006 election for the post.
