Sri Lanka will not be biased towards any country - says Prime Minister

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has said Sri Lanka is neither pro-India nor pro-China.

The Prime Minister was replying to questions from the media during a personal visit India.

Premier Wickremesinghe said that the Sri Lankan government primarily represents the interests of Sri Lankans and called for better ties between the two countries.

The Prime Minister also said that Sri Lanka would support the development of Punnathurkotta, the Devaswom’s elephant sanctuary.
