A bomb attack on a UN vehicle in Somalia's Punt-land region has killed at least 10 people.

According to eyewitnesses, the bomb had been attached to a UN bus though initial reports spoke of a suicide attack.

Those killed reportedly include Kenyans and Somalis working for the UN mission.

Al-Shabab, an affiliate of al-Qaeda, is battling Somalia's government for control of the country but attacks are less common in Punt-land, a semi-autonomous region in the north-east.
