Former minister Bandula Gunawardana told our news team that a no confidence motion would be moved against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake over the wrong financial transactions made through the Central Bank.
He told a media conference held at the parliament complex today that obtaining of MPs’ signatures to support the proposed no confidence motion has already been started.
Former minister T.B. Ekanayake expressed his views about the proposed no confidence motion against Minister Karunanayake.
Expressing his views over the proposed 20th Amendment, former minister G.L. Peiris said he has received information that the matter to be discussed during the next Cabinet meeting.
He also said that the relevant gazette notification of the proposed Draft Bill would be released next week.
