5.3 million rupees foreign currency seized at Airport

The airport customs officers arrested 2 persons who tried to smuggle foreign currency out of the country today.

An Indian, who was in possession of 2.1million rupees worth foreign currency, was arrested when he attempted to fly to Bangkok, Thailand.

Later during a raid, the airport customs officers arrested a Sri Lankan, when he tried to smuggle 3.2 million rupees worth foreign currency to Singapore.
