Parliament seats to be increased from 225-255

The SLFP stated that the new Amendment Draft Bill for electoral changes would be presented to the Cabinet today or after several days

Addressing a media conference held in Colombo today, MP Susil Premajayantha said that the number of parliament seats would increase from 225 to 255 under the proposed electoral system.

Various views were expressed during the media briefing with regard to the proposed meeting between President Maithreepala Sirisena and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, as well as the suspension of 5 SLFP Central Working Committee members.
