National Executive Council meets today

The National Executive Council, which met today, has drawn its attention to the possibility of holding a general election at the end of June this year.

Accordingly, its members are of the opinion that parliament could be dissolved either at the end of this month or within the first week of May.

A member of the National Executive Council Mano Ganeshan stated that the next general election and the pre-election tasks were discussed during the Executive Council meeting.

The proposed electoral system has also been discussed in depth during the National Executive Council meeting, and all the participants have disclosed their stand towards the electoral system change.
