Uncertainty in passing the 19th amendment - Dinesh, No issues - Dilan
Leader of the Mahajana Eksath Peramuna Dinesh Gunawardena says that there is an uncertainty regarding the passing of the 19th amendment.
However, SLFP Media spokesman State Minister Dilan Perera stated that there are no issues for passing the 19th amendment.
The draft bill is due to be presented in parliament tomorrow, and the debate on the draft bill will take place on the 28th and 29th.
However, speaking to our news team, Leader of the MEP Dinesh Gunawardena stated that UPFA representatives have been convened for a meeting in Colombo this evening regarding the matter.
Meanwhile, National Freedom Front’s MP Weerakumara Dissanayake stated that he and the party’s leader Wimal Weerawansa will most likely cast their votes against the draft bill.
