Indian Army Chief's visit postponed

The visit by the Indian Chief of Army Staff General Dalbir Singh has been postponed until further notice.

General Singh was scheduled arrive in the country today.

Army sources state, quoting an announcement by the office of the Indian Chief of Army Staff that the visit was postponed in view of the emergency commitments that had arisen in some parts of India and adjoining Nepal as a result of the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake
