A group of relatives complain their missing children are detained in Walikada prison

The Collective of Missing Persons met Public Security and Disaster Management Minister John Amaratunga this morning.

The relatives of missing persons quoted certain information saying their missing relatives are kept in Welikada Prison therefore they requested the minister to let them meet the detained relatives.

Some of the relatives said that they identified their missing relatives posing in photographs published by newspapers.

The photographs had been taken during Thaipongal festival organized in prison.

Later, minister Amaratunga said that he would take necessary steps to fulfill the request by the Collective of Missing Persons.
