Minimum wage for Private sector to be Rs. 10,000 from tomorrow; Rs. 1,500 out of Rs. 2,500 increment to be paid tomorrow

The Cabinet has approved to increase the minimum salary of private sector up to Rs. 10,000. In addition, the daily pay per person has also been increased up to Rs. 400.

The Cabinet has also approved to grant Rs. 1500 to private sector workers with effect from tomorrow, as a part of the Rs. 2500 increment proposed by the recent Interim Budget.  The daily wage earners will also get Rs. 60 per day under this salary increment proposal.
