"I assure a stable future" - PM at May Day

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says that in order to provide long term relief a majority government needed to be formed in parliament.

This was at yesterday’s UNP May Day celebrations.

The UPFA rally headed by the SLFP was held under the patronage of President Maithreepala Sirisena at Hyde Park Grounds yesterday.

Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga also participated in the rally but Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was absent.

The UNP May Day rally under the theme of “A country full of united people” was held under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Borella Campbell Park.

The Prime Minister stated that under the 100 day programme the government was able to wipe away the fear within people.
