John Kerry meets TNA leaders

John Kerry who was the first US Secretary of State to visit the island on an official tour after 43 years, left Sri Lanka this morning.

According to our airport correspondent, the flight carrying US Secretary of State John Kerry took off at 11.40 this morning.

During his tour, the US Secretary of State met the President, Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs Minister as well as several Ministers and MPs yesterday.

His final talks were held with TNA Leader R. Sambandan, where several MPs of TNA as well as the Chief Minister of North Provincial council C.V. Vigneswaran.
