2 died while going to witness Vesak
Large crowds from all corners of the island are visiting various areas to witness Vesak celebrations last evening.
Meanwhile, 2 persons died and 32 received injuries following 2 motor accidents which occurred along Karuwalagaswewa – Anuradhapura Road as well as Dehiattakandiya –Polonnaruwa Road.
Meanwhile, the Union of Public Health Inspectors of Sri Lanka stated that they will continue to inspect Dansel today as well.
The Union stated that about 6361 Dansel across the island are registered under them.
Meanwhile, PHI officers took measure to ban 3 Dansel in Baddegama, Galle yesterday, which provided food not suitable for human consumption.
One of the PHIs who conducted the inspection told our news team that they have banned a Sau dansel and two soft drinks Dansel.
The Union’s Secretary Senarath Bandara told our news team that 1800 PHI officers have been deployed for Dansel inspection.
Meanwhile, a small scale businessman operating a motor cycle repair shop, has offered an air-pumping dansel for vehicles.
