Litigate us if FCID is illegal - Government

Minister Akila Viraaj Kariyawasam says that if Financial Crimes Division that has been set up for probing financial frauds is illegal, the Opposition could go to courts.

The Minister said so while participating at the ‘Balaya’ political programme  telecast last night over Hiru TV with regard to the country’s current political situation.

Ministers Akila Kariyawasam and Eran Wickremaratne participated in the programme on behalf of the Government.

MP Bandula Gunawardhana and Provincial Councillor Udaya Gammanpila participated in the programme on behalf of the Opposition.
