A group of youth staged a protest in Galle against the ban on full face helmets today.
According to our correspondent, the Collective of Motor cyclists organized the protest, which commenced in front of the Central bus stand in Galle.
It was reported that the protested enlightened the pedestrians regarding the matter by touring the area in motor cycles.
The law on banning full face helmets was supposed to be effective from the 2nd of last month.
However, 2 persons filed petitions at the Court of Appeal against the ban, and as a result, the Court of Appeal issued an interim order preventing the enforcement of the relevant law.
Meanwhile, a person in Kosgoda staged a fast unto death campaign requesting not to insult the image of the Buddha, has ended his campaign.
