The bail application presented by former minister Johnston Fernando has been considered by the Kurunegala Provincial High Court today.

Johnston Fernando was arrested in connection with removing consumer goods worth 5 million and 275 thousand rupees from several Lak Sathosa outlets without making any payment.

Later former minister Fernando was remanded until May 25th.

After considering the motions submitted by the FCID and the Attorney General department, the Provincial High Court would inform its decision to the Kurunegala Magistrate Court on May 25th.

Meanwhile the FCID questioned former chairman of State Trading Corporation Pradeep Gunawardana.
